1.      Can you please make a brief introduction of yourself? (Your name, age, where you come from? etc.)

My name is Israel Mawuli Ewoade. I am 22 years of age. I come from Ghana

2.      Which university in Ghana did you study at and what course did you offer?

I went to Christian Service University College, a private university in Kumasi affiliated to the University of Ghana, Legon where I studied BSc. Business Administration, Accounting major.

3.      How did you hear about the Eiffel scholarship?

I got to know about the Eiffel scholarship through Universite de Rennes 1, IGR-IAE. After expressing my financial difficulties to the international programmes coordinator, she recommended some scholarships of which the Eiffel scholarship was part of.

4.      What motivated you to apply for it?

After going through all the options available, I chose to apply for the Eiffel scholarship    because I found that it covered a substantial part of my most important needs, which is my cost of living in France. Moreover, being a French government scholarship, I had more trust and confidence in it.

5.      How was the application process?

The application process for me was simple. All I had to do was put in my application (application, cover letter) and some other documents through the school I was applying to. The fact that everything went through the school made the process simple.

6.      How did you know you had gotten the scholarship and how did you feel?

I first received a congratulatory message from IGR-IAE Rennes that I was awarded the Eiffel scholarship.
I was so excited because I knew it was an exceptional opportunity that I had been offered.

7.      How has your experience in France been?

It's been a couple of months in Rennes and I can say it's been an amazing experience. Rennes is a culturally diverse place with so much to learn.

      7. Are you happy to have gotten the scholarship?

I'm extremely happy and privileged to have gotten this scholarship which has been a major milestone in the pursuit of my academic journey. This is due the fact that I realized that the Eiffel Scholarship is one of excellence, and secondly because I had issues trying to gather funds for my studies in France. Since I am an Eiffel Scholarship holder, it gives me an advantage over my colleagues.

8.      What is your advice to fellow Ghanaians who want to apply for the scholarship?

I urge all Ghanaians to apply for the Eiffel scholarship if given the chance to. Normally, when you gain admission to a university in France, the school will urge you to apply if you are a First Class student. Aside being a great financial support (monthly stipend, flight, health insurance, accommodation) which facilitates studying and living in France, it’s also a network of opportunities, integration and support
